Title : Score Keepers
Category : Family
Movie : Karate Kid, The - 1984
Detail : During The Semi Final Match Between Johnny And The Asian Guy. The Score Keepers With The Flags Mess Up. For The Final 3rd Point Johnny Quickly Scores. The Guy On The Right Raises A White Flag To Signal A Score For Johnny, But The Women On The Other Side Raises A Red Flag Signaling That The Asian Guy Scored. Bad Editing
One "ALL CAPS/formatting" vote got reviewed positively. Two other positive votes were given a "neutral" review. I could see another MN dinging those two votes, though. Capitalizing every word is distracting - thus, the formatting vote.
Title : Dear Harry
Series : M*A*S*H
Episode : General for Series
Detail :
In the episode,"Dear Harry,"Where Hawkeye is writing a letter to Harry Truman,he hands the letter to a nurse to be mailed, and later,he's still writing it.
There were two positive votes on this, both of which were dinged. This was submitted under "General for Series," not under the episode where it happened. "Didn't happen" would be a fair vote on this, because it only happens in one episode, not throughout the whole series. All episodes for M*A*S*H are listed, btw, and I didn't find any episode titled "Dear Harry."
I can't tell you the correct episode name but I know I've read that nitpick before. I think it already exists too.

Ok, I did a little searching and found it. The episode is called Give Em' Hell, Hawkeye and the nitpick is titled "Still writing the letter". So it does exist.
Also, as I looked through the MASH tv nitpicks, I realized something I didn't know. (because I do not want to deal with Nitpickers until more stuff is fixed and I get my missing nitpicks back) The nitpicks for MASH (and every series I suppose) are no longer listed by season and are not in chronological order for when they aired. They are just randomly listed, possibly by when they were voted in instead of season and episode chronological order. What a mess.
Title : Good Witches Don't Freeze
Series : Charmed
Episode : General for Series
Detail :
It is known throughout the series that good witches don't freeze..Well in Season 8 Episode titled Hulkus Pocus, Piper freezes Billie to stop her from dying. I had to put this nitpick for "General for Series" because they don't have season 8 on the nitpick list. I assure you this is a valid nitpick.
This is the second TV nitpick I've reviewed. This is an improvement over the old site, btw - we couldn't review votes on TV nitpicks before, so the quality of voting tended to be lower.
One "Submission contains a plea directed at the voters" vote was given a positive review. That "I assure you this is a valid nitpick" doesn't need to be there. It would also have been fair to vote "Didn't happen in the show," because this was submitted for the entire series ("General for Series") and the error didn't happen in the entire series.
If the episode you want isn't available, you'll need to wait for it to be added. Submitting something on "General for Series" will just confuse everyone once the episode is added, especially if the same nitpick is later posted under the correct episode. "General for Series" is for nitpicks that occur either throughout the whole series, or else in many different episodes.
Title : Stan Mikita's Donuts
Category : Comedy
Movie : Wayne's World - 1992
Detail :
When it shows the guys in Stan Mikit's Donuts, you can see through the window that there is another Stan Mikita's Donuts behind the one they are in.
Vote : Negative : Submission included signature.
Comment : It's done purposely....It's an inside joke as to how there a Tim Horton's every corner you turn.
The comment explains why a negative vote is appropriate, but the wrong vote was selected. Or, more likely, the voter didn't select a vote at all ("signature" is the first choice on the list). I gave this a "neutral" review (unfair vote, but fair explanation).
Really. What would the proper vote have been? "Character"? "Possible within"?

Either of those would be OK, but "explained in the movie" would be better, imo.

<slaps head>
Duh.
What sort of moron must I be to ask a question like that? The answer is obvious.
Do you agree with the review? Under the old system, "signature" would have merited a ding. The comment box mixes that up, though. My inclination would be:
fair vote = reviewed as fair (regardless of comment - though I might make an exception for abusive comments)
ambiguous vote + fair comment = reviewed as fair
unfair vote + fair comment = neutral review
unfair vote + unclear/ambiguous comment = reviewed as unfair
If the vote and comment are both the same (fair, unfair, or neutral/ambiguous), the review should be easy. If there's no comment, I'd review as I would under the old system.
Title : Dorothy trips
Category : Family
Movie : Wizard of Oz, The - 1939
Detail :
During the Cowardly Lion's song, "King of the Forrest", a green rug is wrapped around his shoulders like a royal cape. As Dorothy carries the hem of his "train", she trips over another rug on the floor and keeps walking.
Vote : Negative : Submission duplicates a posted Nitpick.

Now this is how it's done. Reviewed "fair".

There should be a one option up for that. "fairest in the land"
I wouldn't have dinged a "Spelling" vote, as this Gump can't spell "Forest."

I would review as unfair any spelling/grammar vote where there is only a minor mistake or two and you can easily tell what they mean. I thought that's how we were doing it?
